GatsbyCar - Car Rental Theme

Step 3

Initial Configuration

Configure your GatsbyCar theme before going live — site URL, metadata, and basic settings.

Initial Configuration

Before deploying your website, you need to configure a few settings. This guide will walk you through each one.

Files You Will Edit

You will edit these files:

  • gatsby-config.js — main Gatsby configuration
  • content/data/widget.json — site-wide data (nav, footer, contact)
  • content/data/home.json — homepage content
  • content/data/contact.json — contact page content
  • content/data/about.json — about page content

Do not worry if this looks like a lot. Each file is explained step by step.

Step 1: Configure gatsby-config.js

Open gatsby-config.js in VS Code.
